Most S.M.E’s energy use is below that level that allows them implement the I.S. 393 energy model and yet they cannot be assessed by the domestic B.E.R. We have formatted a model that allows us to assess S.M.E energy use and subsequently issue a series of recommendations to enable energy reductions.
The Model we employ uses both the IS 393 model at a reduced level and the Building Energy Rating system. It allows us to assess Energy Consumption related to per unit of floor area per year. We identify areas of opportunity. We can then set a number of programmes in place which allows measurement for improvement within target dates.
Once the programme is up and running the appointed administrator within the organisation can easily operate the system themselves.
