The GLAS scheme, supported by Enterprise Ireland, involves the implementation of environmental management systems based on BS8555 for continuous environmental improvement. It supports Irish SME's in manufacturing in reducing their carbon footprint to comply with Ireland's Kyoto commitments. 10 SME's in the Munster region currently in this scheme jointly administered by Ecosafe Ltd and QSI Ltd.
